Our Programmes
Post-Graduate Diploma in Conflict Management and Peace Studies (CMP)
Our Post-graduate diploma course started in 2004. Since then, more than 60 graduate students have been introduced to the fundamentals of conflict management and peace-building.

The programme is designed to offer our participants an opportunity to examine ways in which people from different cultures and at different times think of and put into practice conflict management and peace-building.



Duration
The programme leading to the award of the Post-graduate diploma in Conflict Resolution and Peace Studies is for one academic year which contains of two semesters.



Structure
The programme consists of full-time lectures, seminars and practicals which are assessed through progressive continuous assessment and written examinsations.
Aims and objectives
The general aims of the Diploma Course are the:

  • Development of sound knowledge and skills in Conflict Resolution and Peace-building;
  • Development of functional literacy in Human Rights observance, social justice, ecology and sustainable development;
  • Cultivation of positive attitudes towards non-violent conflict management and peace.


Eligibility
Applicants to be considered for admission to the Post-graduate Diploma in Conflict Resolution and Peace Studies shall be those who have obtained either a first or second degree in any field from a recognised university of institution.
