Ms. Omona is a social worker specialising in gender and peace studies as well as conflict management. She is a researcher and peace worker focusing on post-conflict transformation. She has carried out many research projects in Northern Uganda from a gender-perspective and recently in Southern Sudan. She is the author of "The Role of Oral Songs in the Education and Entertainment of the Acholi", "Security Concerns of Women Living in IDP Camps in Northern Uganda" and committed to Gender Equality.
