Enrolment and Capacity
With a sizable number of students, our programmes aim at developing, implanting and inculcating in the students and the academic staff, sound theoretical and practical professional skills of conflict management, peace-building and conflict transformation.

Besides, they aim at harnessing human rights observance, promotion and respect; promotion of social justice, and development of the culture of peace in work and leisure places, at home, in the community while contributing to global peace. Specifically, beneficiaries of the programme are expected to gain abilities to analyze and resolve conflicts constructively, monitor and promote observance of human rights, ethics and social justice.

In line with the University’s functions and mission, the programmes cover the concern about ecological soundness with a critical mind to conservation of biodiversity and sustainability of the environment.

Significance
Since the students come from diverse back-grounds, namely from Germany, Kenya, and Sudan and within, there are usually very lively inter-disciplinary interactive dialogue and discussion on peace and conflict. As a result, the impact of these programmes are commendable and reckonable.

Most of the former students have either secured or maintained employment relevant to the dissemination of the ideas of peace, conflict and development. Their field performance indicators and benchmarks reflect the sedulous commitment and dedication of peace advocates, campaigners, practitioners and social activists.
